My beloved, Finding ourselves in these, the most holy days of the year, in the Holy and Great Week of the passion of Christ, together with Him, we are passing through His sufferings from Gethsemane to Golgotha. At the same time, we hope that we will be able to resurrect with Him on the first day of the week! Even though our way of suffering this year is more intensive than in previous years, and we are forced to celebrate this week in a very specific way, I would like to draw your attention to a few things:
1. Beginning tonight, all our Church services (except the Canon of Eucharist during the Liturgy) will be live streamed until the day of the Resurrection of Christ. Please find below the schedule and invitation links for the services.
2. With the blessing of His Grace our Bishop Irinej, all those who desire to bow before the Tomb of Christ, will be able to do so after the Church service on Holy Friday, and before the Divine Liturgy on Holy Saturday. On Holy Friday, from 6 PM until 9 PM, the faithful can come to the Church, entering one at a time, or together if you are members of the same household. Make a prostration or bow in front of the Tomb, and immediately after, without lingering, proceed to your homes. Likewise, on Holy Saturday morning, the faithful can come and prostrate or bow in front Christ’s Tomb from 8 AM to 11 AM, leaving immediately as described above.
3. When you are coming to the Church, please follow all the rules and instructions with regards to physical distancing as recommended by the CDC and NYS authorities.
4. On the very day of the Resurrection of Christ, all those of you who want to be united with our God through partaking of the Holy Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, can come to the church, follow the service on your mobile devices in your cars in the parking lot, and at the end of the Liturgy, again one at a time, approach the Holy Mysteries. This time we will follow all the instructions and blessings regarding partaking of Holy Communion published earlier by the Holy Synod of Bishops of the SOC and by His Grace Bishop Irinej.
Expecting the glorious Resurrection of Christ during these trying times, let us all together pray to Him, who did take on all our infirmities, to take even this suffering of human nature and to deliver us from this temptation. We hope that we will be able to offer the prayer of thanksgiving all together and very soon! Blessed be the Holy Week of the Passion of Christ! Драги моји, Налазећи се у најсветијим данима током године, у Светој и Великој недељи страдања Христових, заједно са Христом пролазимо пут од Гетсиманског врта до Голготе а надамо се да ћемо са Њим и васкрснути у први дан недеље! Како је наш пут страдања ове године нешто интензивнији него ли претходних година те смо принуђени да на врло специфичан начин прослављамо ову недељу, желим да скренем вашу пажњу на неколико ствари:
1. Почевши од вечерас сва богослужења (осим канона евхаристије – најсветијег дела Литургије) до дана Васкрсења Христовог ће бити преношена преко интернета. У прилогу можете пронаћи распоред и линкове за праћење богослужења.
2. По благослову Преосвештеног Владике Иринеја, сви они који желе да се поклоне пред Гробом Христовим, могу то учинити након богослужења на Велики Петак и пре Литургије на Велику Суботу. На Велики Петак од 18 до 21 час можете доћи у Цркву, улазити један по један или са члановима исте породице, и одмах након поклоњења, без задржавања, упутити се својим домовима. Исто можете учинити и на Велику Суботу ујутро од 8 до 11 часова.
3. Приликом доласка и одласка молимо вас да се придржавате свих правила и упутстава која важе у држави Њујорк.
4. На сам дан Васкрса, сви они који желе да се причесте Пречистим Телом и Крвљу Господа Христа, могу доћи током Литургије, пратити богослужење на приложеном линку не напуштајући своје аутомобиле, те на крају Литургије, опет један по један или по породицама прилазити Светим Тајнама, овај пут пратећи упутства о начину причешћивања раније издата од стране Светог Синода и Преосвештеног Владике Иринеја.
Ишћекујући славно Васкрсење Христово у овим необичним данима, помолимо се сви заједно да Он који је узео све наше немоћи, и ову тренутну слабост људске природе што пре одагна од нас те да бисмо му могли принети заједничко благодарење!
